Holidays See Highest Number of Car Crashes

As we enter into the 2010 holiday season, please take extra caution on the roads. I say this because in Missouri, the greatest number of car accidents happen during the winter holidays.
According to a study by the Missouri Department of Transportation, the greatest number of car accidents on Missouri roads in 2009 happened during the months of October, November and December. This is the time when weather conditions can create hazards on the road and there are a lot of people travelling for the holidays. This time of year can also see an increase in the number of people driving while intoxicated.
As a Kansas City car accident lawyer, the holidays are also when I receive the greatest number of calls from people involved in car accidents. These holiday accidents can be avoided if you take caution. You can avoid holiday car accidents or by slowing down while driving in poor weather conditions, keeping your phone in your pocket or purse, and by driving sober. Please also wear your seatbelt to minimize your injuries if you are in an accident.
